Ok, for all of you that maybe don’t know as much about Elvis as I do…
Today has passed 27 years, since Elvis Presley has died. He was born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, like one of two sons of Vernon and Gladys Presley. His twin brother Jessie Garon Presley died when he was born and Elvis once said that some people believe if one of the twins dies, the other one gets all his qualities.
On 1948 his familly has moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where Elvis went to high school (Humes high school). He graduated in 1953. A year after he signed up the contract with the Sun records and so began his singing career. In late 1955, his recording contract was sold to RCA Victor and by 1956 he was already known worldwide.
He starred in 33 successful films, which of course weren’t successful because they were good, but because people wanted to see him on the big screen. He got loooots of awards, I don’t feel like writting them all down, one of them was for his 150 different albums and singles (beat that, ha! 🙂 ).
Anyways, he went to Germany to serve the army, meet a nice looking girl (litteraly, she was only 14 then) named Priscilla Beaulieu, she was the daughter of some general there. Love-love, kiss-kiss, and they got married and although they got divorced in 1973, they remained close up until the time of his death. (weeee for happy endings…)
Well, as I said, he died on August 16th in 1977 in his Memphis home, Graceland.
I was checking if there were some events or concerts in Palma today, but couldn’t find anything except this: (but then again, my searching skills on spanish pages aren’t the best in the world, any information is very welcome)

I don’t feel like editing typos…. though there’s a lot of them. 😀
Elvis is not dead 😛 😉
Well… he is 😉 But still I love his music. You know maybe if there will be his music played anywhere in Palma?
Ok, I said I won’t correct any typos, but this is the big one, so… It’s 28 years, not 27!
